The weekly review is where the journal turns into money. It takes thirty minutes and answers four questions.
1. The numbers
Trades, win rate, net P&L
Largest win and largest loss — and which setups they came from
Average P&L of off-plan trades — the number most people never look at
2. Execution
Did you size every trade the same way? Where not, why?
Did you move a stop? What were you feeling at that moment?
Any trade that is not in your playbook?
3. Emotion
Which emotion cost the most this week? Sorting P&L by emotion takes one click in the review tool — and the answer is usually stable week to week.
4. One change
One change per week. Not three. If you change five things and the week improves, you have learned nothing about which change worked.
Write it down as a single sentence, and write down how you will know it worked. Then print the weekly review template and keep it somewhere you will see it.
