About TheTradingHabit

Last updated: 16 October 2026

TheTradingHabit is a set of free, browser-based tools for stock traders — US, Taiwan and Hong Kong markets. Nothing to install, no account, no paywall.

What the tools do

Our methodology

Every calculator is arithmetic on the numbers you type in. We do not predict prices, we do not score stocks, and we do not tell you what to buy. Where we show market data it comes from public sources and may be delayed.

Why it's free

The tools are free and always will be. We run a free community where we publish a weekly trading-discipline drill and pre-market notes — that's the whole business model.

Who runs it

Hi — I'm Hallie Banks. I trade US equities, and I built these tools for myself first: the risk and position-size calculators, the overtrading-cost maths, the pre-trade checklist. They're the ones I actually use before I click buy. I put them online because most of the traders I talk to share the same three problems — and none of them are about picking stocks.

Everything on the site is free, with no account required. If you want the weekly discipline drill and the room, the community links are on the home page — and if you want 1:1 help with your own process, the coaching plans are under Pricing.
