Most trading plans are documents, not decisions. A useful one answers five questions in a way you could read aloud in thirty seconds.
The five questions
What do I trade? Which markets, which liquidity floor.
When? Which sessions, which hours. (Everything outside is flat.)
What is the setup? Two or three named patterns, described so precisely you could hand it to someone else.
What is the risk? % per trade, daily limit, streak rule, max open positions.
How do I exit? Stop, first target, and what happens to the runner.
Then add the one thing people skip
What do I do when I break the plan?
Not "try harder" — a specific action. Close the platform for the session. Halve the size tomorrow. Log it and write a single line about the trigger. Without this section the plan is a wish.
